Flattering Shapes

I don’t like my midsection. What are some options for making it look smaller and more flattering? Also, what shapes should I avoid?”

Hi Anna! Thanks for the request. I've shown you some great fit-and-flare dresses that will help hide a midsection (my problem area, too). Keep in mind that you want shapes that will hit at your thinnest part (the bottom of your rib cage) and flare out from there. These dresses are also called skater dresses as an FYI when you're shopping online. Shapes and trends to avoid: peplum, pencil skirts, high-waisted jeans, and shift dresses. Fabrics to avoid: jersey, anything with too much stretch, and clingy knits. Look for some structure!”
